Creamy, dreamy eggnog…like liquid vanillacustard in a glass with a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg.
Recipe: Creamy Dreamy Eggnog
6 large eggs1/2 cup granulated sugar2 cups milk2 cups whipping cream1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
In large saucepan, beat together eggsand sugar. Stir in 2 cups of the milk. Cook over low heat, stirringconstantly, until mixture is thick enough to coat a metal spoonwith a thin film and reaches 145°F (approximately 60°C)and is held there for 3 1/2 minutes. Remove from heat.
Stir in whipping cream, vanilla, cinnamon,and nutmeg. Cover and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled, severalhours or overnight.
Serve garnished with whipped cream andnutmeg!
