Cream Cheese StuffedPears recipe

Elegant and simple to make, this dessertcombines the delicate flavors of cream cheese-filled pears withchocolate and raspberry sauces.

Recipe: Cream Cheese StuffedPears

2 (29-ounce) cans pear halves in juice, drained
2 (3-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
4 teaspoons granulated sugar
Chocolate Sauce:
1 (12-ounce) can NESTL ® CARNATION® EvaporatedMilk
1 (12-ounce) package NESTL TOLL HOUSE Semi-Sweet ChocolateMorsels
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 bottle raspberry juice or syrup, (optional)

  • For Pears: Place pear halves, cut sidedown, on paper towels. Combine cream cheese and sugar in smallbowl until smooth. Match pear halves by size. Spread about 1rounded tablespoon cream cheese mixture on cut side of one pearhalf; press cut side of second pear half into cream cheese. Repeatwith remaining pears. Cover; refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  • For Chocolate Sauce: Heat evaporated milkto boiling in medium, heavy-duty saucepan. Stir in morsels. Cook,stirring constantly, until mixture is slightly thickened andsmooth. Remove from heat; stir in sugar, vanilla extract andsalt.
  • To Serve: Place pears in pool of raspberrysauce; drizzle with Chocolate Sauce.
