Cream Cheese Pound Cake recipe

Cream cheese adds moistness, texture andflavor to this buttery rich pound cake.

Recipe: Cream Cheese PoundCake

1 1/2 cups butter
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
3 cups granulated sugar6 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).Grease a 10-inch tube pan; set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream togetherthe butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light. Beat in theeggs and extracts. Stir in the flour until just mixed. Pour batterinto prepared baking pan.
  • Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or untila wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean.

    Makes 12 servings.
