Cream Cheese Pound Cake recipe

Cream cheese adds to the incredible moistness,texture and flavor of this delicious pound cake.

Recipe: Cream Cheese PoundCake

3/4 cup butter
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 large eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 package wax paper
1/4 cup powdered sugar

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
  • Thoroughly blend together butter, creamcheese, sugar, and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing wellafter each addition. Sift together flour and baking powder; addto the creamed mixture. Pour into a wax paper lined loaf pan.
  • Bake at for 1 hour. Let stand for 5 minutesthen remove from the pan and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

    Makes 8 servings.
