Cream Cheese Frosting recipe

A good, basic cream cheese frosting toadd to your repertoire.

Recipe: Cream Cheese Frosting

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened1/4 cup butter2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups powdered sugar

  • In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, butterand vanilla until well blended. Gradually add powdered sugar,beating to spreading consistency.
  • Spread frosting on a cooled cake.

    Makes makes enough frostiing to fill andfrost a 2 (9-inch) layer cake or 13 x 9-inch cake.
