Cream Cheese Cake recipe

A yummy, quick and ‘cake-mix-easy’, cheesecake-likecake!

Recipe: Cream Cheese Cake

1 cup nuts, chopped
1 (18.25-ounce) package yellow cake mix
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
5 large eggs – divided use
1 (16-ounce) package powdered sugar, sifted
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • In a bowl mix together chopped nuts, yellowcake mix, softened butter and 1 egg. Press the cake mixture intoa greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish, leaving a raised edge aroundthe sides.
  • In another bowl beat together powderedsugar, softened cream cheese, 4 eggs, and vanilla with an electricmixer on medium speed until thoroughly combined. Spread overthe cake mixture.
  • Bake for 45 minutes at 325°F (160°C)or until the center is set.

    Makes 12 servings.
