Crab-Stuffed Mushrooms recipe

These hot and tasty crab and Parmesan-stuffedmushrooms are party favorites.

Recipe: Crab-Stuffed Mushrooms

1 pound medium-large mushrooms1 (7-ounce) can crab meat, drained5 green onions with tops, finely chopped1/4 teaspoon dried thyme1/4 teaspoon dried oregano1/4 teaspoon dried savorySalt and freshly ground black pepper totaste1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese1/3 cup mayonnaiseFreshly grated Parmesan cheese for sprinklingPaprika for sprinkling

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium bowl, combine crab meat, greenonions, herbs, salt and pepper. Mix in mayonnaiseand 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese until combined.
  • Remove stems from mushrooms. Spoon outthe gills and the base of the stem, making deepcups. Discard gills and stems. Fill the mushroom caps with roundedteaspoonfuls of filling, and placethem in an ungreased shallow baking dish. Sprinkletops with Parmesan and paprika.
  • Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven,and serve immediately.

    Makes about 18 to 20 appetizers.
