Country White Bread recipe

A recipe for bread machines.

Recipe: Country White Bread

1 cup warm milk (110°F – 115°F/ 45°C)
1 1/2 tablespoons butter or margarine1 large egg1 1/2 teaspoons salt4 cups bread flour1 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar2 teaspoons active dry yeast

  • Place ingredients in the bread machinepan in the order suggested by the manufacturer. (Usually wetingredients first, then dry and lastly the yeast.)
  • Select the Basic bread cycle and startmachine.

    Makes one (1 1/2 or 2 pound) loaf.

    Cook’s Note: Because of the milk and rawegg, do not use the time delay for this recipe.
