Cocoa Rum Balls recipe

Allow these sweet cocoa confections twoto three days before serving for the flavors to meld into a happymarriage.

Recipe: Cocoa Rum Balls

Rum Balls:3 1/4 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
1 1/2 cups chopped nuts
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
1/2 cup light rum
3 tablespoons light corn syrupCoating:
Unsweetened cocoa powder, or powdered sugar, or a combintionof both

  • Combine wafer crumbs, nuts, powdered sugarand cocoa in a large bowl. Stir in rum and corn syrup and mixwell.
  • Shape into 1-inch balls and roll in desiredcoating.
  • Store in airtight container 2 to 3 daysto for flavors to marry. Reroll in desired coating before serving.

    Makes about 4 dozen balls.
