Cocoa Glaze recipe

This yummy chocolate glaze, made with cocoa,is the quickest and easiest way to ice cakes, cupcakes, creampuffs, etc.

Recipe: Cocoa Glaze

2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3 tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups powdered sugar

  • In small saucepan over low heat, meltbutter. Stir in cocoa and water. Cook,stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Do not boil. Removefrom heat.
  • Stir in vanilla. Gradually add powderedsugar, beating with whisk until smooth. Add additional water,1/2 teaspoon at a time, until desired consistency.
  • Spread glaze over top of cake, allowingglaze to drizzle down sides.

    Makes about 1 1/2 cups glaze.
