Cinnamon Crispies recipe

Crushed corn flakes give these cinnamon-ycookies their crispy crunch.

Recipe: Cinnamon Crispies

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened1/2 cup vegetable shortening1 1/3 cups granulated sugar2 large eggs2 cups all-purpose flour2 teaspoons ground cinnamon1 teaspoon baking soda2 1/4 cups crushed corn flakes

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C).
  • Cream the butter or margarine with shortening.Add eggs and the sugar and beat until fluffy. Stir in the flour,cinnamon and baking soda, mixing well. Stir in the corn flakes.
  • Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookiesheets and bake for about 9 minutes or until light brown. Letstand for 1 minute then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.

    Makes 5 dozen.
