Cinnamon Apple Dumplings recipe

This is an easy way of making a classicdish.

Recipe: Cinnamon Apple Dumplings

1 (12-ounce) package frozen escallopedapples
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup water
1 (8-ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted

  • Thaw escalloped apples in microwave atMEDIUM (50% power) 6 to 7 minutes; set aside.
  • Melt butter in an 11 x 7-inch baking dish;set aside.
  • Roll crescent roll dough into a 10 x 14-inchrectangle. Spread with apples.
  • Combine brown sugar and next 3 ingredients.Sprinkle over apples. Roll dough up, jelly roll fashion, sealingseam; cut into 16 (3/4-inch-thick) slices, and place in preparedbaking dish. Pour sugar syrup carefully over dumplings.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 to35 minutes.
