Christmas Wreaths recipe

A yummy, green-tinted marshmallow cornflake mixture is formed into ‘Christmas wreaths’ and decoratedwith red hots, miniature candy-coated chocolates or candied redcherries. An easy recipe the kids will have fun helping to make.

Recipe: Christmas Wreaths

1/2 cup butter or margarine
35 large marshmallows
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoons green food coloring
5 cups corn flakesRed hots, miniature candy-coated chocolatesor candied red cherries cut in half

  • In a large saucepan, melt butter withmarshmallows over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove fromheat and add vanilla and food coloring, mixing well. Add cornflakes and mix until the cereal is well coated with marshmallowmixture.
  • Drop by tablespoonfuls onto a waxed paperor foil-lined baking sheet. Quickly from into “wreaths”with buttered fingers and decorate with red hots, candy-coatedchocolates or cherry candy halves.
  • Chill until firm.

    Makes 2 dozen.

    One of the easiest recipes we would whip up were the classic no-bake holiday wreath cookies with those little red hot berries. I never did like those berries, they were just too hard for my taste. I m extremely impressed with youur wrioting skills and also with the layout on your weblog.
