Recipe: Chocolate Mint DropCookies

1 cup granulated sugar1/2 cup butter, softened1/2 cup NESTL ® TOLL HOUSE®Baking Cocoa1 large egg1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract1/4 teaspoon baking powder1/4 teaspoon baking soda1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour2 tablespoons granulated sugar144 (approximately) small pastel dessertmints or candy corn

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Beat 1 cup sugar and butter in large mixerbowl until well mixed. Add cocoa, egg, vanilla extract, bakingpowder and baking soda; beat until well mixed. Gradually beatin flour. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in 2 tablespoonssugar. Place 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until set.Immediately press 3 mints on top of each cookie. Remove to wireracks to cool completely.

    Makes 24 cookies.
