Chocolate Marshmallow Slices recipe

A super-easy, chocolate marshmallow confectionthat’s sure to become a favorite addition to your holiday candytray.

Recipe: Chocolate MarshmallowSlices

1/2 cup butter
1 (12-ounce) package semisweet chocolate chips
1 (10.1/2-ounce) package miniature marshmallows (6 cups)
1 cup finely chopped nuts
Additional chopped nutsSweetened flaked coconut

  • Melt butter and chocolate chips in a mediumsaucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until blended. Removefrom heat; cool 12 to 15 minutes.
  • Stir in marshmallows and 1 cup nuts, beingcareful that the marsmallows do not melt.
  • On wax paper, shape mixture into two 7-inchrolls. Wrap in foil; refrigerate about 20 minutes.
  • Coat the rolls by rolling in additionalnuts or coconut.
  • Wrap; refrigerate overnight. Cut rollsinto 1/4-inch slices. Store in airtight container in cool, dryplace.

    Makes about 3 dozen slices.

    Variation: ChocolateRainbow Slice: Substitute colored and flavored miniature marshmallowsfor regular miniature marshmallows.

    Gently fold in icing sugar and then, with beater running, slowly pour in cooled gelatine mixture and beat until marshmallow is stiff and thick.
