Chocolate-Glazed Brownies recipe

Chewy chocolate brownies topped wth a thinchocolate glaze.

Recipe: Chocolate-GlazedBrownies

Vegetable cooking spray
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 large egg whites
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons unsweetened baking cocoa
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 teaspoons hot water

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Combine 1 cup sugar, softened butter,1 teaspoon vanilla, and egg whites in a medium bowl. Stir inflour, 1/3 cup unsweetened baking cocoa, baking powder, and salt.Spread in greased pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until thecenter is set.

Meanwhile, combine powdered sugar, 2 tablespoonsunsweetened baking cocoa, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla, and up to 4 teaspoonshot water until of spreading consistency. When smooth,spread over the brownies.

Makes 16 bars.
