Chocolate-Dipped Cheesecake Pops.

These ‘too cute’ cheesecake pops are theperfect alternative to a cake for a special occasions like birthdays,wedding or baby showers…or simply to make an occasion special!

Recipe: Chocolate-DippedCheesecake Pops

1 (16-ounce) package frozen cheesecake
22 to 24 lollipop or wooden craft sticks (found at cake decoratingor craft stores)
Small ice cream scoop (1 to 1 1/2 tablespoon size)
1 3/4 to 2 cups (11.5 to 12-ounce package) NESTL TOLLHOUSE Semi-Sweet or Milk Chocolate Morsels
1 tablespoon vegetable shortening
Colored sprinkles or sugars
1/2 cup NESTL ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet ChocolateMini Morsels

  • Line baking sheet with wax paper.
  • Remove cheesecake from freezer; thaw for5 minutes. Cut cheesecake into 22 to 24 small even pieces.
  • Press pieces of cheesecake, includingcrust, into ice cream scoop. Working quickly, shape into 1 1/2-inchballs. Press one lollipop stick into each cheesecake ball. Placeon prepared baking sheet and freeze for 1 hour.
  • Microwave semi-sweet morsels and shorteningin dry, medium, uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on HIGH (100%)power for 1 minute; STIR. Morsels may retain some of their originalshape. If necessary, microwave at additional 10- to 15-secondintervals, stirring just until melted.
  • Dip frozen cheesecake pops into meltedchocolate; shaking off excess. Immediately decorate with coloredsprinkles, sugars or mini morsels, if desired, before chocolatehardens. Working quickly, repeat with remaining cheesecake pops.Place on prepared baking sheet; freeze until ready to serve.Allow to soften for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

    Makes 22 to 24 pops.


    • Cheesecake balls do not have to look “pretty”before they are dipped in chocolate. Crust is included in cheesecakeball. This all gets covered in a coating of chocolate. It maybe a little messy, but everything works out when it is coveredin chocolate!

    So, after the balls became firm, I dipped one end of my lollipop stick in some of the melted candy coating and then inserted it into the cheesecake ball. I immediately dunked the pop in a deep bowl of melted candy coating and then sprinkled to decorate. Each one was then placed in a styrofoam block to completely dry. Then, they went in the refrigerator to await their fate. Yum! My parents are visiting and I needed a dessert idea. You ve just given it to me! Gorgeous pics as always. Ladybug, how about a thin frosting or glaze that will dry hard instead of chocolate?
