These individual flan are rich, smoothand chocolatey with a luscious caramel sauce.
Recipe: Chocolate Cream CheeseFlan
1 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup water 1 (12-ounce) can NESTL ® CARNATION® EvaporatedMilk 1 (14-ounce) can NESTL ® CARNATION® SweetenedCondensed Milk 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened 2 (1-ounce) packets NESTL ® TOLL HOUSE® ChocoBake Unsweetened Chocolate Flavor 5 large eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan;cook over low heat, stirring constantly for 3 to 4 minutes oruntil dissolved. Increase heat to medium-high; boil, withoutstirring, for about 15 minutes or until caramel colored. Quicklypour over bottom and sides of 12 (6-ounce) custard cups (if syruphardens, soften over low heat).
Place evaporated milk, sweetened condensedmilk, cream cheese, butter, Choco Bake, eggs and vanilla extractin blender container; cover. Blend well. Pour mixture into preparedcustard cups. Arrange in one or two large pans; fill pans withhot water to 1-inch depth, creating a water bath.
Bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until knifeinserted near center comes out clean. Cool in pans on wire racksfor 20 minutes. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight. Runknife around rims; gently shake to loosen. Invert onto servingdishes.
