Chocolate Bonbons recipe

Chocolate Bonbons.

Named after famous 1940s Brazilian AirForce brigadier and chocoholic, Eduardo Gomes, these delectable,soft chocolate candies are easy to make. Children love eatingand making these treats, so let them help shape the chocolatemixture into balls and roll them in multi-colored or chocolatesprinkles.

Recipe: Chocolate Bonbons

1 (14-ounce) can NESTL ® CARNATION®Sweetened Condensed Milk
1/4 cup sifted NESTL ® TOLL HOUSE® Baking Cocoa
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
Nonfat cooking spray
1/2 to 3/4 cup multi-colored or chocolate sprinkles

  • Combine sweetened condensed milk and cocoain medium saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly,for about 10 to 15 minutes or until mixture pulls away from thesides of the pan. Remove from heat. Add butter and salt; mixthoroughly. Let cool for 20 minutes.
  • Line baking sheet with wax paper. Usingteaspoon, drop 1-inch dollops of chocolate mixture onto preparedbaking sheet. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Spray hands with cookingspray. Shape or roll chocolate mixture into balls and then rollin sprinkles. (Hands may need to be resprayed while rolling).Keep refrigerated in airtight container for up to 5 days.

    Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
