Recipe: Cherry Almond ToffeeBars
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar (powdered)
3/4 cup cold margarine or butter
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 large egg, beaten
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 (6-ounce) package toffee chips
1 cup sliced almonds
3/4 cup dried tart cherries
Makes 24 to 36 bars.
