Cheesy Beer Soup recipe

This soup makes a great ‘fondue’ dip forSt. Paddy’s Day, too!

Recipe: Cheesy Beer Soup

1/2 cup chopped onion
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 pound processed cheese spread, diced
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup beer
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/8 teaspoon liquid hot pepper sauce
2 tablespoons green onions, chopped

  • In a large kettle cook finely choppedonion and crushed garlic clove in butter until tender.
  • Add diced processed cheese spread, milk,beer, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid hot pepper sauce. Cook,stirring constantly, for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is meltedand smooth. Sprinkle with chopped green onions.

    Makes 4 servings.
