Cheesecake Bars with Cranberry Swirls recipe

Easy cheesecake bars, the crust is quicklymade with a yellow cake mix and the cranberry swirls are madewith canned cranberry sauce.

Recipe: Cheesecake Bars withCranberry Swirls

Crust:1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix1/2 cup butter, softened1 large egg1/4 cup pecans, choppedFilling:1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened1/4 cup powdered sugar1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract1 large egg1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg1 (10-ounce) can whole berry cranberrysauce

  • In a large bowl, combine cake mix, butterand egg and beat at low speed until crumbly. Add pecans and mixwell. Press evenly into the bottom of an ungreased 13 X 9-inchpan.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutesjust until crust is set.
  • In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, powderedsugar, vanilla and egg until smooth. In a separate bowl, blendtogether cranberry sauce and nutmeg. Pour cream cheese mixtureover crust. Spoon cranberry sauce in 3 rows lengthwise in pan.
  • Run a knife through the cranberry sauceand cream cheese mixture to form swirls. Bake at 350°F for30 minutes, or until cream cheese mixture is set. Cool and cutinto bars.

    Love these cranberry cheesecake bars I can t get enough of cranberries during the holidays.


    I did have some trouble with the cranberry sauce without a food processor, but it was still great with the sauce a bit chunkier! You can bake something with waxed paper lining the pan?
