Cheese Pastries recipe

Cheese Pastries.

A great finger food for parties. Try dippingthese in your favorite salsa or marinara sauce. Also great servedwith soups and stews.

Recipe: Cheese Pastries

1 (10-ounce) package Classic Recipes WelshRarebit, defrosted according to package directions
1 (11-ounce) package pie pastry mix
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
2 teaspoons poppy seeds or sesame seeds, (optional)

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Combine welsh rarebit, pie pastry mixand onion powder in a medium bowl. Roll out to 1/8-inch thicknesson a lightly floured surface. Cut into 1 1/2 x 1/2-inch strips.Place on ungreased baking sheets. Sprinkle with poppy seeds,if desired.
  • Bake for 10 to 15 minutes. Serve warm.

    Makes 18.

    This looks a lot like a family recipe for kolache. I m going to make yours today since mine calls for even more butter today I have more cream cheese than butter. I also have blueberry filling since it s my son s fave. Hey! Just want to say this was kinda fun for me and my mom but MAJOR question was the dough suppose to be sticky or did we do something wrong???
