A quick and easy quick bread, biscuit pinwheelsfilled with cheddar cheese.
Recipe: Cheddar Pinwheels
2 cups all-purpose flour
In a mixing bowl sift together flour,salt, and baking powder. Cut in butter. Add milk and beat togetherquickly but thoroughly to form dough.
Turn out on a floured board and kneadfor 30 seconds then roll out to a 10 x 8-inch rectangle 1/8-inchthickness. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and roll uptightly jelly roll fashion. Cut into 3/4-inch slices and placeon baking sheets.
Bake in a 375°F (190°C) oven for20 minutes, or until browned.
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup butter
2/3 cup milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Makes 12 pinwheels.
