Recipe: Cheddar Lover’s Popovers
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup milk
2/3 cup water
4 large eggs
1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded Wisconsin Sharp Cheddar cheese
Makes 8 popovers.
Note: For small popovers, measure a scantteaspoon melted butter into sixteen 2 3/4-inch muffin cups. Fillabout 3/4 full with batter. Bake 35 minutes before opening ovendoor. Bake about 5 minutes longer, if needed, until popoversare well browned.
