Warm, cheesy popovers hot out of the ovenwill bring your family running to the dinner table!
Recipe: Cheddar Cheese Popovers
4 tablespoons butter – divided use
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).Place 8 (6-ounce) custard cups on a baking sheet. Measure 1 1/2teaspoons butter into each cup.
Combine flour and mustard in large bowl.Gradually stir in water and milk until blended. Beat in eggs,one at a time, until mixture is smooth. Fold in cheese.
Place baking sheet with custard cups inoven 3 to 5 minutes until butter melts and custard cups are hot.
Fill custard cups 1/2 to 2/3 full withbatter.
Bake 45 minutes in preheated oven withoutopening the door. Remove from custard cups and serve immediately.
1 1/3 cups all- purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
2/3 cup milk
2/3 cup water
4 large eggs
1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded Wisconsin Mild Cheddar cheese
