Caramel Apple Bars recipe
A quick and easy recipe thanks to the convenienceof purchased cookie dough and frozen escalloped apples whichmake these bars are a snap to prepare.
Recipe: Caramel Apple Bars
2 (18-ounce each) packages NESTL ®TOLL HOUSE® Sugar Cookie Bar Dough, softened
3/4 cup quick or old-fashioned oats
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 (12-ounce) package Classic Dishes Harvest Apples, defrostedaccording to package directions
2/3 cup caramel ice cream topping
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Powdered sugar, sifted (optional)
Makes 32 servings.

These bars are fantastic! I doubled the recipe and they turned out great. The drizzle of salted caramel really put them over the top. Perfect fall dessert Being the typical baking college student I am, my spice cabinet is fairly limited. I have apple pie spice rather than nutmeg. How much of the apple pie spice should I use in place of the cinnamon and nutmeg?
