Candy Easter Egg Surprises recipe

Kids will love biting into these sweetcreamy candies with a marshmallow surprise in the center.

Recipe: Candy Easter EggSurprises

1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 (7-ounce) jar marshmallow creme
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Coconut and/or decorator sugars
42 multi-colored miniature marshmallows

  • Place butter and marshmallow cremein large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH, stirring once,until melted (1 to 2 minutes). Add powdered sugar; stir untilsmooth.
  • Place coconut and/or decorator sugarsin small bowls. Shape 2 teaspoons marshmallow mixture around1 miniature marshmallow. Immediately roll in coconut or decoratorsugars. Place onto waxed paper-lined baking sheet. Refrigerateuntil set (2 hours or overnight).

    Makes 42 candies.

    Tip: Store between sheets of waxed paperin airtight container in refrigerator up to 2 weeks.

    Mint Snowballs:Stir 1 teaspoon peppermint flavoring into marshmallow mixtureafter microwaving.
