Candy-Coated Pecans recipe

These sugary pecans are wonderful on acocktail party table, in a lunchbox or on a simple cheese-and-fruitplate.

Recipe: Candy-Coated Pecans

1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups pecan halves

  • Combine sugar, water, cinnamon and milkin a saucepan over medium heat; cook until boiling. Remove fromheat and stir in vanilla; add pecan halves. Stir until pecansare evenly coated.
  • Spread on wax paper to cool, separatingpecan; cool completely before serving.
  • If pecans are not for immediate use, storethem in an airtight container until ready to serve.

    Makes 12 servings.
