Recipe: Butterscotch Thins
2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda 1 (12 ounce) package or 2 cups NESTL ® TOLL HOUSE®Butterscotch Flavored Morsels 1 cup butter or margarine, cut into pieces 1 1/3 cups packed brown sugar 2 large eggs 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract 2/3 cup finely chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Combine flour and baking soda in mediumbowl.
Microwave morsels and butter in large,microwave-safe mixer bowl on MEDIUM-HIGH (70%) power for 1 minute;stir. Microwave at additional 10- to 20-second intervals, stirringuntil smooth. Beat in sugar, eggs and vanilla extract. Graduallybeat in flour mixture; stir in nuts. Cover; refrigerate for about1 hour or until firm. Shape into two 14 x 1 1/2-inch logs; wrapin plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm.
Unwrap logs; slice into 1/4-inch-thickslices. Place slices on ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 5 to6 minutes or until edges are set. Cool on baking sheets for 2minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
