Butterfinger Crumb Cake recipe

Butterfinger Crumb Cake.

A moist and rich cake with chopped up Butterfinger®candy bars as an added bonus.

Recipe: Butterfinger CrumbCake

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 (2.1-ounce) NESTLE® BUTTERFINGER® Candy Bar, finelychopped
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).Grease 8-inch-square baking pan.
  • Combine flour, brown sugar and granulatedsugar in a medium bowl; cut in butter with a pastry blender ortwo knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Transfer 1/2cup flour mixture to a medium bowl; stir in Butterfinger pieces.
  • Stir baking soda and salt into remainingflour mixture. Combine milk, yogurt, egg and vanilla extractin a small bowl until blended. Add to flour mixture; stir justuntil blended. Pour into prepared pan; sprinkle evenly with Butterfingermixture.
  • Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until woodenpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool slightly in panon a wire rack. Serve warm.

    This cake was definitely delicious – not dry at all. I did increase the yogurt by maybe a quarter of a cup. I also made buttercream frosting for the top and sprinkled another crushed Butterfinger on top. It was a hit!
