Buckaroo Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe

Your big and little buckaroos will lovethese chocolate chip cookies.

Recipe: Buckaroo ChocolateChip Cookies

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup vegetable shortening
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon water
4 large eggs
5 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
2 cups chopped nuts, optional

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl cream together sugar, brownsugar, butter, shortening, vanilla and water with an electricmixer on medium speed. Beat in eggs.
  • Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Graduallyadd to sugar mixture. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
  • Drop batter by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apartonto ungreased baking sheets. Bake until golden brown, 9 to 11minutes. Cool on a wire rack.

    Makes 36 cookies.
