Blue Cheese Corn Bread recipe

A unique flavor twist on an old favorite.

Recipe: Blue Cheese CornBread

1 (8.50-ounce) packaged corn muffin mix1 large egg1/3 cup milk1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese2 green onions, chopped1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).Grease 8-inch square baking pan.
  • Combine all ingredients in medium bowland mix until blended. Spread in preparedpan.
  • Bake until firm to touch and golden brown,about 30 minutes. Servehot.

    Makes 8 servings.

    If you don t have smoked blue cheese, you can use regular blue cheese. You can also use a smoked, non-blue cheese if you prefer to start with a slightly less stinky cheese to begin with.
