3/4 cup milk, slightly warmed 6 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened1 large egg, slightly beaten3 cups bread flour1/4 cup granulated sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeastAdditional butter (optional)
Measure ingredients into bread machinein the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select dough ormanual setting. When cycle is completed, remove the dough fromthe machine and either shape as desired, or wrap in plastic wrapand place in refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
If refrigerated, let set out for about45 minutes to an hour before using
The easiest shape to make is to just dividethe dough into equal parts and roll into balls in your hand.Place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
Cover shaped dough with damp cloth andlet rise in a warm place for 20 minutes or until doubled in size.
Bake in preheated 400°F (205°C)oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
Brush tops with butter, if desired.
Makes about 20 to 24 rolls.
