Baked Eggs recipe

Tender baked eggs with cheese.

Recipe: Baked Eggs

4 large eggs
1 teaspoons half-and-half
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon garlic
4 tablespoons grated cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese (orboth)

  • Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
  • Generously butter 4 ovenproof ramekindishes. Drop 1 egg into each dish.
  • Combine seasonings. Cover each egg witha teaspoon of half-and-half. Sprinkle seasonings evenly overeach. Sprinkle cheeses over top.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until eggwhite is done with yolk softly cooked.

    Makes 4 servings.
