Aunt Maude’s Chocolate Bonbons recipe

Aunt Maude’s homemade chocolate bonbonswith sweet creamy walnut and coconut centers.

Recipe: Aunt Maude’s ChocolateBonbons

6 cups powdered sugar
3 cups finely chopped walnuts
2 (16-ounce) packages flaked coconut
1 (14-ounce) can evaporated milk
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups milk or semisweet chocolate chips
1/4 pound paraffin
Wooden picks
Aluminum foil

  • In a bowl combine powdered sugar, walnuts,coconut, evaporated milk, melted butter and vanilla. Mix welland set aside.
  • In a double boiler, melt chocolate chipsand paraffin. Roll the coconut mixture into 1-inch balls anddip into the hot chocolate mixture. Use a wooden pick to dipthe bonbon. Place on aluminum foil to dry.

    Makes about 24 candies.

    close but without the cinnamon and pecans it just isn t a Texas sheet cake .and if you really want to make it a cake you will never forget use Mexican Vanilla it sets the chocolate off like you would never believe. Hi! I m forever looking for chocolate cake recipes and this one looks amazing! I was wondering if the recipe would work if I wanted to bake it into cupcakes? I ll have to adjust the cook-time, yes? Thanks!
