Apple Crisp Oven Pancake recipe

An oat streusel-topped chunky applesauceoven pancake.

Recipe: Apple Crisp OvenPancake

1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
1/4 cup biscuit mix
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons butter, softened
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 cups biscuit mix
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup chunky applesauce
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg

  • Heat oven to 425°F (220°C). Greasea 15 x 10 x 1-inch jelly roll pan.
  • In a small bowl, combine oats,1/4 cupbiscuit mix, brown sugar, butter
    and cinnamon. Set aside.
  • Beat remaining ingredients with whiskuntil well-blended. Pour into prepared pan. Spread batter toedges. Sprinkle evenly with oats mixture.
  • Bake for 14 to 16 minutes, or until lightgolden brown. Serve immediately.

    Makes 6 to 8 servings.

    This delicious recipe is perfect for our Sabbath morning breakfast. One recipe is never enough for my family. The pancakes are always moist and nutritious. I recommend these pancakes to be eaten with hot cinnamon syrup!


    If you are preparing this recipe with Granny Smith Apples, the amount of sugar is perfect or TBS less, it gave the pancake the nice crust.
