Apple Berry Breakfast Crisp.

Eating a variety of grains and fruits notonly ensures that you get more nutrients, but also helps makebreakfast more interesting.

Recipe: Apple Berry BreakfastCrisp

Filling:1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon4 cups thinly sliced peeled apples (about4 medium)
2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries or sliced strawberries
1/4 cup frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 cup Quaker® Oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/3 cup (5 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon) butter or margarine,meltedVanilla yogurt for accompaniment (optiona)

  • Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray8-inch square glass baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  • For Filling: Combine brown sugar, flourand cinnamon in a large bowl, add remaining ingredients and stiruntil fruit is evenly coated. Spoon fruit into baking dish.
  • For Topping: Combine oats, brown sugarand flour in a medium bowl, add the butter and mix until crumbly.
  • Sprinkle crumb mixture evenly over fruit.
  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until applesare tender.
  • Serve warm with yogurt, if desired.

    Makes 9 servings.
