Who couldn’t use a little help from ”grandma”in the kitchen? Abuelita, which translated means grandma, isa cinnamon-infused Mexican chocolate that ”spices” up thisholiday favorite — making every moment special.

Recipe: Abuelita Sugar Cookies

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour3/4 teaspoon baking soda1/4 teaspoon salt1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, atroom temperature1/3 cup granulated sugar1/3 cup packed light brown sugar1 large egg2 (3.15-ounce) tablets NESTL ABUELITAChocolate, finely chopped or grated

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Combine flour, baking soda and salt inmedium bowl.
  • Beat butter, granulated sugar and brownsugar in large mixer bowl until combined. Beat in egg. Graduallybeat in flour mixture. Stir in chopped Abuelita. Scoop by roundedmeasuring teaspoon and roll into balls; place 2 inches apartonto ungreased baking sheets. Flatten tops slightly.
  • Bake for 8 to 9 minutes or until puffedand slightly golden around edges. Cool on baking sheets for 2minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

    Makes 48 (4 dozen) cookies.
